There are few songwriters with as strong a hand on nuance as young Michael Champion. Cutting his teeth in bands on the Isle of Wight, the duo he formed with his brother, CHAMPS, quickly signed a record deal and released a succession of songs that were playlisted all over Europe, and eventually scored a high profile sync with Campari, that not only featured the band’s fantastic 3000 Miles, but also saw them perform in the advert alongside Ana De Armas.

Always a keen collaborator, Michael’s best known as a co-writer and musician for his work with indie darlings and 2022’s most hotly tipped act, Wet Leg. Michael co-wrote three tracks on their debut (Chaise Longue, Too Late Now and Loving You) as well as playing across the record.
