Well, what a fucker of a time we’re living in, eh? Dunno about you, but this is probably the strangest period of my 32 years on this planet. Anyway, thankfully I’m built for this shit, and I’ve essentially been in self isolation since I set up Friends Vs Music nearly three years ago. Hope everybody’s looking after themselves and keeping healthy while we wait for this all to blow over.

In the spirit of finding the marks on my dance card severely depleted, I’ve got round to doing something I’ve been meaning to for a while. Friends Vs Friday is a playlist made up of tunes that our gang have been working on, new cuts from our mates and records that I’m generally enjoying right now. It’s my intention to keep this going as a regular thing, but that’s in the spirit of best intentions. Anyway, while I’m still enthusiastic, you can take a listen here. This week it’s got music from Jack Garratt and Tycho Jones (both co-written by Henry Brill), Ellie Moon (mixed by Ben Mclusky) and some generally great music from our mates in Enter Shikari, amazing newcomers like Holly Humberstone and Joy Anonymous and two of my favourite bands ever The Killers and Biffy Clyro.
