In Autumn 2019, when no-one knew what a coronavirus was, Norwegian wunderkind dePresno decamped to Nashville with his producer Askjell (Sigrid, Aurora, Naaz) to write an album with our boy Henry Brill. The trio first met on a writing camp in Bergen, Norway, earlier that year.
Bitter St is the first fruit from these sessions, and the tune’s already been premiered and playlisted on Norway’s P3 radio. Out today on Columbia/Sony Music Norway, it’s a smart and emotive piece of sad-pop.
