If this must be the final song, we’ll dance all night…
So here it is, the penultimate new piece of work from the artist known as John Joseph Brill for only one more week. John Joseph Brill is the artistic alter ego of Henry Brill, and next week he’s hanging up his black jacket and performing his last show live from lockdown in Nashville.
Dance All Night is a sad song about the dying embers of a relationship, falling very much into the category of a sad banger. It’s live on all streaming services now. It precedes the release of an EP, the Damn It All EP, coming next week.
The single, and indeed the whole EP was mixed and co-produced by our boy Owen Lewis at House of Blues in Nashville. In fact, I’m pretty sure the first time I met Owen they were laying down vocals to this tune. It’s another production collaboration with our good pal Ben Cramer AKA Old Sea Brigade.
It’s a fitting full stop to Henry’s artist career (in this incarnation at least). Get involved.
