We are ecstatic (ECSTATIC) to welcome the most fantastically talented Mr Simon Dobson to the Friends Vs Music roster. Simon is a composer/conductor/arranger par excellence, best known for his arrangements for huge live shows and gargantuan orchestral reinterpretations and adaptations. He arranged the music and conducted the orchestra for Bring Me The Horizon's genre-smashing Royal Albert Hall shows (the video of his overture for the show which slams massive strings against the band's track Doomed has racked up over 30 million Youtube views) and did the same for Architects orchestral version of their seminal record For Those That Wish To Exist recorded at Abbey Road (check out the footage, it's mind blowing).
Outside of rock and metal, he's arranged music for electronic heavyweights like SOHN and Jon Hopkins, created music for acts like SIGMA and George Ezra and is also a very well respected figure in the classical world, conducting some mega orchestras and winning a couple of BASCA Composer Of The Year Awards in the process (I'm a philistine, but I've recently learned this is some serious business).
Welcome to the gang Simon, looking forward to the very loud noises you're going to make.
